Coat of Arms of Saint-Lézer

I was honoured to be approached by our local mayor to create a custom stained glass piece in recognition of the pilgrims who pass through Saint-Lézer on their journey to Santiago de Compostela.

This design is built around three symbolic elements:

• The French flag forms the backdrop with its striking blue, white, and red—signifying national pride and the warm hospitality extended to all who pass through.

• The scallop shell, universally recognised as the emblem of the Camino de Santiago, signposts the sacred path travelled by countless pilgrims over the centuries.

• The coat of arms of Saint-Lézer sits at the heart of the design, rooting the work firmly in local heritage and community spirit.

This creation is deeply personal to me. My wife and I cycled 1,200 kilometres of the Camino de Santiago in just 13 days—an experience that was spiritually profound, mentally demanding, and personally transformative. That journey became the inspiration behind this piece, which I hope captures the spirit of pilgrimage, resilience, and welcome that defines the Camino.

  • Every piece I create is made to order and completely unique. When you see a design you like in my portfolio, you have two options:

    Purchase the exact piece shown:

    You can buy the piece as displayed with the same size, colors, and layout.

    Commission a custom variation:

    Use any portfolio piece as inspiration and customize the size, colors, and layout to your preferences.

  • Yes and no. Each physical piece I create is unique, but I'm happy to recreate designs if requested. For example, if you love the Harley Davidson piece but want it in different colors or a larger size, I can create a new version tailored to your specifications.

  • Absolutely! I welcome custom commissions where you provide your own ideas and input. Whether you want to give me complete creative freedom or have specific requirements in mind, I'll work with you to bring your vision to life.

  • I don't typically make identical pieces unless specifically requested by a customer. Each creation is unique, even when based on the same design concept.

  • As much or as little as you'd like! You can:

    • Let me handle all creative decisions.

    • Provide general ideas and themes.

    • Give detailed specifications for size, colors, and layout.

    • Request modifications to any existing portfolio piece.

  • Simply contact me about any piece that interests you, whether it's from my portfolio or a custom idea. I'll provide pricing based on your specific requirements and preferences.
